SYNOPSIS
Singapore’s Chinese literary scene boasts many notable poets, and Lew Poo Chan—better known by her pen name Dan Ying—stands out prominently among her peers.
With works that were created from the 1960s to the 1990s, Dan Ying’s poetry showcases a rich variety of styles, drawing inspiration from personal experiences as well as classical literature from the East and West.
This bilingual touring exhibition honours Dan Ying’s contributions, offering a unique glimpse into her world of words and celebrating her influence on the literary landscape of Singapore.
