Ticketed
Sriwana celebrates its 70th anniversary with Sriwana 70: Teras. Paksi. Titik., an explorative reflection on the evolution of Malay dance within the group’s storied legacy.
This landmark production evokes a deep sense of nostalgia while seamlessly embracing modernity, and is brought to life through bold, progressive movements that highlight Sriwana’s artistic evolution, resilience and enduring spirit over the years. Collaborating with regional partners—Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris and Mohd Zulfarqar Bin Awaluddin—the production upholds the tradition and authenticity of Malay dance while introducing fresh perspectives.
Founded in 1955, Sriwana is Singapore’s longest-standing Malay arts organisation, and is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of traditional Malay dance and culture.
With nearly seven decades of experience, Sriwana plays a key role in safeguarding the artistry of Malay dance while also embracing modern interpretations of the art form. As a non-profit organisation, Sriwana is driven by volunteers whose unyielding passion breathes life into the rich traditions of dance, music and theatre.
