A serene and inviting space where well-loved titles written by writers from Singapore await their next reader. In this corner, books that have previously been cherished are given a new lease on life, ready to become part of someone else’s literary journey. Each book here carries its own history, embodying the idea that stories continue to live on through each new reader.
The National Reading Movement (NRM), launched by the National Library Board (NLB) in 2016, promotes a vibrant reading culture in Singapore. Encouraging all to "Read More, Read Widely, Read Together," it fosters exploration of diverse genres and mother tongue languages. NLB—with 28 public libraries, the National Library and National Archives—nurtures lifelong readers, learning communities and a knowledgeable nation.
