Led by Holdinghands Studio, along with migrant workers and migrant domestic workers passionate about photography, this two-hour handphone photography workshop combines creativity and storytelling. Learn basic techniques such as framing, lighting and perspective, while hearing personal insights from the facilitators. Practice capturing unique moments inspired by the given prompts and reflect on your favorite shots in a sharing session. This session is for participants of all skill levels. All you need to bring is your curiosity and smartphone!

Tan Chin Hock is the founder of Holdinghands Studio, a collective of passionate migrant photographers who showcase their unique perspectives through their lenses. Tan specialises in portrait and documentary photography and has over 15 years of experience as a professional photographer. His work has been featured in exhibitions across Singapore and he is dedicated to mentoring others in the craft. Through Holdinghands Studio, he has nurtured a community of migrant workers who share their lives, aspirations and experiences in Singapore through photography.
Donica Villamor is a migrant domestic worker with a passion for martial arts and photography. A member of the Tapondo Singapore Chapter, Villamor has been practicing this Filipino interpretation of Japanese Aikido for two years, building both physical strength and a sense of community. Her venture into photography reflects her drive to learn new skills and explore creative outlets. Villamor hopes to use her passions to inspire others and build a meaningful second career back home in the Philippines.
