Delve into the stories behind their commissioned pieces, exploring the meticulous processes, conceptual frameworks, and sources of inspiration that drive their craft.
Claire Teo is an artist-educator with ART:DIS, and is also the first visually-impaired graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts’ Diploma in Performance. Teo furthered her artistic journey with ART:DIS Singapore, where she honed her craft and grew as an actor, singer, scriptwriter, director, access consultant and disability arts advocate. In 2020, she led her first project with artists and visually impaired participants to create the immersive, multi-sensory, and accessible installation Move For?ward. The installation featured in the 2022 edition of Light to Night Singapore.
Benedict Tay is an architecture graduate who is currently pursuing his two passions, architecture and art. His previous engagements with a cross-disciplinary design practice include exhibitions at major Singaporean museums and the transformation of the Singapore Art Museum (SAM) at Tanjong Pagar Distripark. His present endeavours are centred on documenting significant post-war and contemporary architectural works in Singapore, contributing to a curated collection.
